Pretty sure the court was able to point out which laws they've broken.

I am sure they can, down to the chapter and verse. But what will this actually change or achieve?

> If you buy a cinema ticket for next weeks premiere, do you want to pay now, and have the ticket safe, or pay when you actually go to the cinema.

But you can already reserve a seat at the cinema and if your local cinema happens to screw up on a frequent basis then you'd probably get a reservation instead of paying for the ticket beforehand.

Also having trouble seeing the US as basically a free country when jaywalking exists.

I'd agree with that. The rules and regulations that are in place in the United States would make the founding fathers weep, by their existence alone and that they're open to use to targeting people in a way that does not speak to equal justice for all.

Which hash tags can I try out to see that it doesn't lead anywhere because the content gets removed?

Maybe I don't know enough about what bugs the CCP but I can find content with the hash tags #tiananmensquare, #hongkongprotests or about the social credit system in China, each showing thousands of videos with millions of views.

When a video by "Stopcommunistchina" about Tiananmen Square is the top result when typing it into their search bar, I wonder how bad their censorship algorithm must be to miss this.

Was there ever a time in recorded history where this was not claimed?

The whole "younger generation bad" thing, yeah. But the specific claim of loss of attention span caused by internet / social media, no. And I think there is something there, because I don't just notice in in the younger generation, I notice it in myself. e.g. I find it very much harder to sit down and read a book than I used to.

Both your statement and OP’s statement can be true at the same time.

Youngsters and modern times have been condemned since times immemorial

> On sustainable energy sources: I, as many other germans, receive all of my electricity from purely renewable energy sources for more than ten years now. 24/7.

No you don't. Just because you pay for Ökostrom or whatever doesn't mean that the electricity you actually use was produced by renewables. It's one grid. You use the electricity produced by coal plants just like everyone else.

I am glad you got my point: My share of energy consumption is completly covered by renewables.

> My share of energy consumption is completly covered by renewables.

Only if you

a) Pretend that the electricity you get doesn't come from the same grid as everyone else's, where the input to that grid is a mixture of renewable and non-renewable energy, and

b) Don't look too hard at how many others make that same boast: Being "green" is "in", so lots of people's consumption "is completly covered by renewables"... Perhaps a larger proportion of electricity consumers than he proportion of electricity actually generated by renewables?

I mean, if you can happily -- and unthinkingly -- echo the empty promise on your electricity bill, so can everyone else.

Your claim is point-less.

Are you being serious?

The Roman Empire covered Germany and it covered that specific part of Germany (Aschaffenburg) as well.

Wrong link, I think: "Not to be confused with Roman Empire, Western Roman Empire, or Byzantine Empire."

The actual Roman Empire seems to have only just reached Aschaffenburg.

The "Holy Roman Empire" was neither Holy, Roman or an Empire.

> The author cites an article on "wind droughts" and ignores that these go hand in hand with rising temperatures and droughts. Rivers getting warmer and dryer is very bad for nuclear power plants, but if you write a biased article, you don't have to mention this.

So we have one source where these effects (that go hand in hand) cause them to only be usable 36% of the time while with another source they can still be used 80% of the time?

But the question was whether the videos are edited. Are they? I don't know the account and don't care for the content posted but this is a pretty important distinction.

No, they are not edited, just accompanied by smart arsed comments

Oh I hope not. Audis are by far the best when it comes to what should and shouldn't be a button and their UI and its options are the best I've ever seen. Use a touchscreen where it makes sense and is _better_ than having a button. Use buttons for everything else.
