Hi,

I had a couple of days to spare this week due to illness so I threw together this app that takes some text input and sends a Santa voice message to a contact.

It's fairly trivial to put together - just a Typeform, Elevenlabs Santa voice and the WhatsApp API.

But it blew away my daughter and niece :)

Thanks for checking it out, have fun!

Note: WhatsApp seemingly at random doesn't like sending to some numbers. I can't pin it down. Also.. rate limits are fixed unfortunately so things may just stop.

nice, very solid! I've just started picking away at my own version of this (mainly to procrastinate from job searching), although not focused on crypto.

From a quick glance at the TG group, are you using just Github to scrape for jobs?

Brankas (https://brank.as/) | Senior/Junior Frontend and System Engineers | Full-time | Remote (UTC+7:00, but flexible)

Brankas is bringing Open Banking to Southeast Asia, bridging the gap between traditional banks and innovative FinTechs. Our vision is to make modern financial services available to everyone.

Our backend service-oriented architecture is entirely written in Go, and deployed on cloud-based systems like GKE, making heavy use of third-party systems and APIs. The frontend is using Vuejs for feature-heavy UIs and falling back to straight HTML/CSS when we need something lighter.

We are a team of passionate developers who actively contribute back to the community via open source and running several meetups in the region - GoJakarta and GoManila.

We're looking for strong developer generalists with previous experience building production quality systems. Candidates should have a strong desire to work in a fast moving, but rigorous development environment, with focus on pushing high quality, production grade, and secure code. Candidates should be familiar with service-oriented architectures / “microservices” and have strong working knowledge of systems architecture and design.

Send us an email at careers [@] brank.as - I'm looking forward to having a chat.

Thanks - Donal, Engineering Manager

It is fairly simple to print off a form and send it in to your GP but I suspect the vast majority of people will see this as a hassle and never bother.

Considering recent government actions, I find it unsurprising that this is the only method - as far as I can find - to opt-out.

A simple form or email address would have been great. But we couldn't possibly have that for an online data service, oh no.

Great tip, thanks.

Another useful fyi that I haven't seen anybody else mention is the Bash framework bash-it [https://github.com/revans/bash-it/]. It has tons of fantastic plugins, aliases and themes out of the box.

I've only tried it on iTerm2, but as it only replaces your .bash_profile file it should work fine on Terminal.

Thanks, I was thinking the same but there is such a wealth of information here that I figured it was worth the ask.

Thanks for the links, i'll be sure to check them out.

Hi, any examples / places to look for these?

I always used to use JobServe, which allows you to search for contract roles specifically. Also tell recruiters you're interested in contract roles.
