I contacted ecobee to get clarification on one of their wire diagrams and they were able to provide customer support. I buy zooz smart devices which are much cheaper than a nest and they have given me detailed wiring instructions based on photos I sent them. It is possible to be profitable and provide customer support. Most customers aren't contacting support every time they buy a product. Building a good reputation helps sell more product.

They have pulled books before I believe. However there are many good drm free ebooks. I still use a Kindle because I like the device but I keep it in airplane mode nearly all the time and copies of drm free books on my pc. Edit: I manage my library with calibre and the device plugged in. You never have to take it off airplane and it gets better battery life.

The small subset of codes in my area that I personally looked at were significantly out of date and it was unlikely that they would be updated anytime soon. There are state codes which were out of date for a long time but they just recently updated. However there are also local codes which are not up to date. When they're not in direct conflict you need to follow both, if they are then technically the state should take precedence, but if you look into it then you'll find that the locality doesn't care and will fine you and it's up to you to defend it which will be expensive and you could still lose. The codes are only as good as the people maintaining them and it seems that the maintenance is not a priority. This was not for electrical - perhaps that one is given more attention.

NY places limits on landlords such as: cannot consider or even look at past evictions, cannot ask for more than a month deposit, and others. Also they completely left landlords out in the cold for rent for over a year and counting. NY is extremely tenant friendly and it can cost a lot if you get a bad tenant. Year(s) of unpaid rent, legal fees, and money for repairs.

In my state, the test never touches the highway or any busy roads so you don't have to learn how to merge, stay in your lane, drive at speed, etc. Actually most highways around explicitly prohibit permit holders. I personally know more than one person who had their first experience on the highway after they had a license and it was an absolute disaster. They were white knuckled, driving 20-30mph under the limit and every merge was a close call. I think the only thing they actually test is whether you can parallel park or not.

In Indiana we went on the highway in drivers Ed, which had a speed limit of 55. Then we crossed for a day into Michigan because their state limit was 65. Indiana has since raised the state limit...

I also bought one recently. The most annoying issue for me is that it automatically changes the setting for my audio output and there is no way to tell it to just respect my damn setting and stop doing auto changes.

I think they run the risk of people giving up on pc gaming completely or never getting into it in the first place. A market that has and should be growing will shrink instead.

This is already happening. I have friends who would, in other circumstances, be building gaming PCs right now, so we could play games together, but–

It's simply not possible.

I just tested this on android and it requires an email and password to register - no getting around that. It also asks for my birthday. Then it forces verification by either email or phone. I wish it was just enter a username and go.

Edit: this was for an invite on a server I control and allows unrestricted access. It is not a server requirement; it is a discord requirement.
