I just thought it was a good example of something written long ago that’s only grown in relevance over time, and with LLMs we can see clearly what he envisioned. The people who don’t want to dig deeper and really wrap their head around a subject can just recite the words without ever having done that.

This is what I’d call ‘programming’. Which you’ll still be doing even if the AI is writing the code.

The question is whether you can become good/better at programming without writing code?

For sure not true. I get PDF invoices, from one of my contractors, that my bookkeeping software chokes on.

I use print to PDF to generate a version that it can handle.

(That does not say anything about whether it removes metadata though, just that it’s not the same file)

It does make a difference but doesn’t change the effect of Microsoft’s bad business decisions. There are no doubt many amazing individuals at the company, but the whole Windows ecosystem is polluted. It has lacked identity for the past decade since cancelling Windows Phone.

Gamifying browsing habits, monetizing MSN celebrity gossip on stock widgets and built-in search capabilities… etc… how are we supposed to be productive with such childish garbage?

The fact that you don’t need to UV unwrap is something that “can’t be done” in Blender. Though I guess technically the same results can definitely be reached :)
