I'm working on a similar project, it's called schematik.io and you can use it to generate hardware projects (schematics, components lists, code, everything). Love the 3d viewer they've done here.

The song or the website? haha, just kidding.

I used Visual Studio Code (and I guess cursor within that?) and basically just started spitballing the idea and progressively building an app / site on my local host. I managed to build the entire thing in about 4 hours and then spent the following 5 hours accidentally destroying it again, whilst trying to fix it... It was extremely frustrating. But in the end managed to get it to work again through some serious trial and error...

Getting my head around the 'lingo' was another thing... how do you write a prompt which actually does what you want the AI to and even more, why do developers not use the word 'save' why do you use the word 'commit' haha, I learned this the hard way, but hey, got there in the end!
