Government patents and the heavily regulated medical cartels = capitalism?

Not to be a Communist when I say "not real capitalism", but it seems there's no pro capitalism political party in the US.

The Republicans certainly give lip service to it but both parties seem more corporatist than anything else.

If you look at history, I'm not sure it's possible for a government to get better. I'm not aware of any historical examples. Revolution can happen, but that means a new government.

They clearly work well enough they every functioning society on earth utilizes one. What is your counterexample in which a government-less society flourished?

This is exactly what I was thinking.

This is an expensive (?) HR and PR Ad.

In 10 years the popularity of the company should be higher than today, the company will be sold and gutted.

Someone who is going to such lengths to save their employees should at least be given the benefit of doubt.

He did something similar 7 years ago, so I don’t think he has some ulterior motive with all this or a grand plan. IDK, Seems like a great guy to me.

April fool's jokes, wasting people's time because "it's soooo funnie" ha. ha. ha.

I don't know if any of that is true. I'm a free information guy and author and despite having a million users of my website, I'm not even profitable.

It's not some clickbait garbage either. It's been front page HN numerous times.

What should I be doing? I have a paid book as an option. But everyone Google searches "free book", it was so bad I ended up making my own free link for SEO reasons.

Go to book fairs and industry events for the genre of book you are writing. My wife writes sci-fi novels and is an officer in a large writers' club (I think it's one of the oldest ok the country). Pretty much all of the members talk about how they really only make sales on their own at in-person events, even the ones with traditional publishers. My wife mainly manages to cover her costs with the sales, though we don't really go out of our way to go to really big events and have yet to do any sci-fi conventions. She sees a few sales on Amazon, but the peaks are usually right after we've been to a book fair.

Did you read the article?

There's not much of a design. There are some specifications.

It seems they are currently trying to split up work.

It's definitely unfinished.

Can I get a link to your finished project? Thanks!

You don’t need to be better to criticize.

You can use that mentality on things that are not safety critical.

How could anyone argue that once in a while there won't be enough beds to save everyone's life?

The closest things I can think of non healthcare is that airbags are designed for 5, 50, and somewhat for 95%ile individuals. But I think it's actually impossible to develop for everyone due to mechanical restrictions.

Maybe I'm out of the loop but I think the issues was that it was never made for consumer use.

I had plenty of uses for simple hands off first person recording. Sports and school events would have benefitted from video recording.

Seeing their enterprise use, I'm thinking other people had a similar idea.
