Do you mean it might convince Amazon to add Scala as a supported language? You don't get access to run native code on AWS, just Python, Java, C#, or JS. And, even with a robust, mature native implementation, I'm not sure that Scala would be the top priority for the next language.

You can run native code on AWS Lambda. It just isn't officially supported. See Apex for an example of how to get it working..
