I wonder why nobody has mentioned StrongSwan (IPSec+IKEv2) or ShadowSocks, which are both performant and very secure.


Shadowsocks is not very secure at all. Static keys and naive crypto. But that doesn't matter much since its primary use is for obfuscation.


I would love to read more about Shadowsocks security, if you have a link.
