Twitter's CTO had an odd tweet about this disclosure (emphasis mine):

Parag needs a Comms director to handle is Twitter account.


Pretty obviously "shared" given the context.


He literally could have said just the first sentence and been applauded. Adding the second sentence adds nothing but arrogance.
