One of the reasons I have a Twitter account is to call out shitty companies (such as my phone company) when they basically ignore my complaints via email or phone call. A bit of public shaming seems to work wonders in these cases. Now I am going to have this option taken away?

If you comment on their tweets, yes. If you just tweet something out, Comcast can't hide it (yet).
