I don't want to browse the web with a Blink-based browser. Total browser homogeneity is the end of the free and open web. I don't want to use a non-free non-open web. Is the web dead to me?

It sounds like it's dead my friend. Microsoft with it's considerable resources could have pushed an open browser engine, now it's all google
