Well, Tesla's autopilot has been slamming into emergency vehicles on the sides of highways for years and the feds have finally gotten around to investigating things.

Their full self driving beta requires constant vigilance because it likes to randomly veer at pedestrians and light poles.

As a sidenote, it's irritating that Reuters keeps calling it an "accident." It was a crash.
