Probably, because it kinda is. What is more upsetting is that this treatment of cars like software was ok until now. It only now that he is on the 'wrong side' that there is a threat of him getting slapped. It is annoying, because it ( misrepresentation of what autopilot is to the customers ) has been going on for years now..

I don’t think it’s anything new, it’s just that his negligence is finally catching up to him. There have been serious issues that folks in side and outside of the government have been concerned about for a while.

I think the bigger issue is people only being able to see things in black and white. For instance, either Tesla is awesome because of what they have done to push forward electric vehicles, or they have problems they need to be held accountable for. Why not both?
