Crohn's is punishing. I hope Geerling's condition stops flaring up soon so he can get back to his life -- and I hope we can one day truly understand the pathology of IBDs so we can do something more effective to treat them.
Unfortunately with Crohn's disease it can pop up anywhere in the Gi tract (including even my mouth, which I found out last year when I got to puzzle my dentist and an ENT with some weird tongue, lip, and gum inflammation!).
Ulcerative Colitis, a close relative to Crohn's, is generally vanquished once you remove the large intestine.
Jeff's been a great member of this site, so I thought I would at least post a call out - maybe do something for our resident Pi Master, instead of just noticing he hasn't been around.
Thank you so much. The outpouring of support has been amazing, and I am doing much better, though still spending much of this week bouncing between testing locations and doctors offices, and trying to rest when possible.
I did have the energy to go to an indoor family event yesterday and that helped a ton. Hopefully I can get back to my work next week! But health / family comes first!
