I remember >10 years ago thinking that learning another language was probably pointless because google translate is 90% there already and soon will obsolete that knowledge. Or all the people saying trucking is on the verge of being automated.

90% there? I disagree. 90% would mean that most of the time it gets the translation right. That hasn't been my experience.
