I think a good solution might be a way to highlight dead comments with the mouse and have the highlighting make the text readable. I believe when I highlight a comment, the highlighting makes the background be a lightish blue. pick a highlight/text color that contrasts better with that?

I do highlight them when I'm on desktop... But it's an extra step
