I didn't buy myself into this so-called "smart" home trend. Almost everything a "smart" home can promise can be achieved or more precisely, has been achieved without connecting random devices using outdated firmware through a low quality mobile application to your local network.

There are numerous cases people locking out themselves from their home with "smart" locks. What's wrong with using keys? Devices from different manufacturers still often requires different apps. Always low quality mobile apps.
