I bought a car on vroom. The experience was pretty good. Also have used Carvana. It does seem like an enormously expensive, probably low margin business.
Shift.com similarly went bankrupt late last year.
My assumption is that market leader Carvana has troubles of its own and didn’t see a lot of strategic value in acquiring the customer base for either company, which has low loyalty for what’s become a commodity product.
