I've been looking for ultra cheap x86 core-hours. Right now I'm running a 24c WRX80 machine at home, but my experiment really needs something closer to 1000 cores. They don't need to be particularly fast and latency/storage isn't a concern either. Each logical thread needs about 2 gigs to do the job.

The part that's really frustrating me is that I genuinely don't care about reliability. The experiment can deal with some lost nodes and progress. I don't want to pay for the reliability when I don't need it.

The only thing stopping me from putting more machines at home is the power and cooling. Colocation at the cheapest provider in town with 2nd hand gear is at the top of my list right now.
