In my opinion the mark of a mature system like this is how it allows someone get off the list.

If that's not even possible it seems frankly childish.

You could always talk to the list owner.

Re childish: I'm sure the tracking services that find themselves on the various ad block lists used by uBlock Origin etc. feel the same way.
