Pat Gelsinger is available

I hear Intel has a position vacant.
Not serious, obviously. Gelsinger is used to $17m a year, and RVI has revenues of about $4m from membership fees. He's 63. He could just as well go back to Lancaster County and buy a farm.
Intel seems like a suicide mission -- with an outside chance of being a giant hero.
Calista seems like a long shot, but she's the right age to put 5 or 10 years into it as a final assignment. Her experience at both hyper-corporate IBM and nimble RISC-V and leadership in open standards and track record of identifying industry trends early might help Intel innovate and explore areas beyond x86 dominance, such as RISC-V, AI, and edge computing. It would be a huge dice-roll for both parties.
