Very cool, but I have seen over a decade of alternative robots like this including several iterations of soft bodied robots. However I have yet to see a consumer device that incorporates them.

Does anyone know of them being used in their industry? Or why they haven't made it out of research? I would expect medical would be a prime case of these due to space, but it all seems to be variations on the Da Vinci setups.
